The Owners.

Small Business owners. The backbone of America. Name a group of people that works harder, cares more, and has to juggle more. The SBA reported in 2022 there were about 33.2 MILLION small business owners in the US. That makes up 99.9% of all US businesses. Those are big numbers but who cares? I cares. We cares. Why? Because that number reflects 33.2 MILLION human beings with a dream. Folks willing to do whatever it takes to provide for their family and give their kids a little more than they had growing up. Pretty special, huh?

That’s what we are about. We love small businesses and helping them succeed because behind every LLC, S-Corp, DBA, and fancy website is a real person doing their best to make it work. We want to help those people.

Matthew and Taylor have both been business owners since they were teenagers. In fact, for 6 years, they owned an online boutique that shipped nation-wide before expanding by purchasing another boutique and opening 2 brick & mortar locations. They’ve been to the markets, they’ve met with the vendors, they’ve done all the boutique stuff. They know what you do and how hard you work.

It’s absolutely insane that sales copy is SO important for small e-commerce businesses but yet, so few focus on it. They will spend all day taking breathtaking photos of inventory and making social media posts, just to post it with a thrown-together description, or even worse…no description.

Why does this matter to us? Watch how this plays out.

Customer: “Does this run true to size?”

Time ticks away. They leave the website and don’t purchase what they otherwise would have.

Business owner 2 hours later after leaving time with their family to reply to messages: “Yes ma’am!”

Customer: Has moved on and isn’t excited anymore because they’re busy spending time with their family.

The customer has to have the info they need to make a purchase at the time they are trying to make the purchase. It’s heartbreaking thinking about all the sales lost and extra time spent replying to messages all because there wasn’t a compelling and informative description written for the product. Not because the business owner didn’t make a sale. But Because they lost out on time with loved ones, opportunities to improve their business, etc. They missed a chance to make a great impression on a customer that could have returned time and time again.

What does this have to do with all that business owner talk?

If you add up all the wasted time. All the missed sales. All the revenue they could have had but missed out on. All the extra hours they had to spend to clearance items out that should have sold. It’s a lot. It’s a lot of money, but more importantly, it’s a lot of life. Time that could have been spent with family. Money that could have been spent on vacations or memories with friends. We are here for the little guy/gal because that’s who we are.
